The PS22 Chorus is made up by a group of elementary school students from Graniteville, Staten Island. Founded in 2000, Gregg Breinberg directs the chorus.
After their performances started going viral online, the PS22 Chorus became known all over for their amazing covers and beautiful musical arrangements. And now, Andy Grammer joins the PS22 Chorus to belt out the powerful lyrics from ‘Don’t Give Up On Me.’
“I will fight
I will fight for you
I always do until my heart
Is black and blue”
This song is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film ‘Five Feet Apart.’ In this poignant drama, a pair of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love.
The children make the powerful song ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ even more beautiful as they passionately perform the chorus.
“I'm not givin' up
I'm not givin' up, givin' up
No, not me
Even when nobody else believes
I'm not goin' down that easily
So don't give up on me”
Seeing all of the smiling faces, I just know that these school children are having an amazing time.
