We have a desire hardwired into each one of us – the desire to belong, to something or to someone. The need to connect with others is deeply ingrained in us, yet it requires us to act. Even babies need to bond with their family members – mom, dad, and siblings – and they do when their needs are consistently met in the first several months of life. We hope you find these quotes about family to be an inspiration to you!
So how do we form a bond? We reach out to others to initiate a connection. We respond to another by accepting their effort to share a moment in our life. A baby cries, a mother kisses a booboo, a dad teaches a child a new skill, a friend calls…and a beautiful thing happens; a window into our heart opens to draw us nearer to that person. Drop by drop of kindness, we are filled to overflowing with love. How did we acquire this ability to love and bond? It’s a gift from our Father God. Here’s the good news. He loves us, uniquely and eternally.
