When life gets tough, we often find ourselves on our knees. We look to scriptures on trusting God. We pray, hoping for answers. At times our prayers may even turn into pleas. With tears in our eyes sometimes we get the answers we seek. Sometimes not. What we pray for may be relief from physical pain, healing from a significant loss, or financial security. There are also those of us who struggle with jobs, addictions, and relationships. What we really want to know is that everything will be okay in the end. But every hardship would feel easier if we remembered we were on the winning side - the side of Jesus. We don’t need to know the future to know we are secure. We only need to know our Savior. And what our savior has told us to trust Him. When we trust that God knows our needs and will help us when we need Him, all of the fear disappears.
The following verses are words we read about trust, either from God Himself or from Biblical believers expressing what trust in God really means.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.
