French choir Societe Generale and French orchestra Les Siec Les decided to join together for an incredible concert. As part of the concert they took on the ancient song ‘Lamma Bada’. The song is an Arabic poem and no one knows exactly when it was written but it was for sure before 1492. The song is incredibly popular and many many version of it have been recorded. But this version from Societe Generale and Les Siec Les has to be one of the best.

300 musicians came together for this insane performance. Eyes fixed on their conductor Francois-Xavier Roth they waited instrument and voices ready. He gave the signal and quietly it began. The tambourine came in first and slowly other musicians joined in. The percussion section built an incredible base rhythm and the rest of the orchestra started building section by section.

Just when I thought this music could not get more incredible in came the choir. And oh my goodness! These harmonies are amazing. I got chills hearing the complexities of these musical parts. I’ve never heard so many instruments come together with so many voices to create one piece of music. I was completely mesmerized by the complexities of this piece. This is such an incredible production. Who else loves hearing such talented musicians and singers work together to create music? This must have taken so much rehearsal to coordinate such a complex piece of music. I always love hearing songs from times gone by brought back to life. Who else was fascinated?
