10 of Best Videos from WOW Hits 2016 Deluxe Edition
September 25, 2015
I was so excited to hear the songs that have been chosen to be part of the WOW Hits 2016 Deluxe Edition album. So many of these songs have spoken to me, like “He Knows My Name” by Francesca Battistelli and “Shoulders” by for KING & Country. Sunday mornings often include singing “Greater” by MercyMe and “Overwhelmed” by Big Daddy Weave in worship service. A friend came to a Sidewalk Prophets concert the Big Family Tour last winter and she heard “Save My Life” for the first time. Jeremy Camp performed “He Knows” during Winter Jam 2015 and the song was near and dear for a friend going through a season I didn’t know about at the time. The songs on this collection evoke memories and stories of how they have touched my life and those of friends and family.
Each one of the 39 songs on WOW Hits 2016 Deluxe Edition has a music video that will evoke new emotions, memories and truths in your life. You learn about the people who inspired the songs and the genuine and raw emotion brought out as the artist performs. You walk away with renewed hope and a heart more open and ready as you watch the video for “Brave” by Moriah Peters and “Impossible” by Building 429. WOW Hits 2016 Deluxe Edition is available now. See the track listing and purchase here. Check out all the music videos on YouTube.

10. “I Am Not Alone” by Kari Jobe
You can see the emotion on Kari Jobe’s face as she sings “I Am Not Alone”. The music video for shows Kari performing on stage and you can tell this song comes from a very deep place for her and she fully believes how God is with her.
9. “This Is Living” by Hillsong Young & Free (feat. Lecrae)
The music video for “This Is Living” shows the energy of living in a big city. It embraces young life and what it truly means to live. A big city offers bright colors, bold signs and energy that’s easy to find. This is how you can feel when you embrace your life in Christ.
8. “Greater” by MercyMe
I love how MercyMe brings the past and present together in this modern Western music video. It starts by showing clips of prairie schooners traveling west. The entire band is decked out in dark colored western wear, but Bart Millard is wearing a bright yellow shirt. It’s like he’s bringing a ray of sunshine in the bleak travel the pioneers endured and it reminds me that God is taking us as pioneers on journeys that will be challenging, but He is always with us.
7. “Overwhelmed” by Big Daddy Weave
If you have gone on a mission trip you can relate to the overwhelming feeling of seeing how God takes care of people in other countries. The music video for “Overwhelmed” shares a mission trip that Big Daddy Weave took to Tanzania. The country is filled with God’s creation from the many animals, plants and landscape to the laughing children. You realize how big the world is and how God alone can find a way to meet everyone’s needs.
6. “You Will Never Run” by Rend Collective
Would Chris Tomlin or Matt Redman start a music video wearing a panda suit? That’s what Rend Collective ponders before they start singing “You Will Never Run”. It will bring a smile to your face as this video encompasses the joy and happiness with Christ by your side.
5. “He Knows My Name” by Francesca Battistelli
The music video for “He Knows My Name” brings many women from all walks of life together as they share the struggles they have gone through. We all have different stories and have taken different paths that lead us to Christ. “He Knows My Name” connects with the heartbreak, the doubt and fear that we go through with these trying moments of life. The women in the video share their broken stories of how they came to Christ and found strength by turning to Mercy Ministries.
4. “Broken Together” by Casting Crowns
The music video for “Broken Together” is extremely moving as a man thinks back to his wedding day, years of happiness and years of struggle. He misses his little girl’s birthday party. The hurt and brokenness is clearly seen on the face of the husband, wife and child, but they don’t know how to put the pieces back together. They realize that they can only fix the pieces by admitting how they are broken together.
3. “Brave” by Moriah Peters
Have you felt uncertain as you walk your path? The music video for “Brave” shows Moriah Peters walking alone toward a building and she looks apprehensive about her dark surroundings. Everything becomes brighter and you are filled with a sense of boldness as she sings “Brave | Fight like a soldier | Rise like a warrior | Won’t stop til the final day | I wanna be stronger | Gunna be bolder | Look up and I see how you make me brave.”
2. “Shoulders” by for KING & COUNTRY
Joel and Luke from for KING & COUNTRY have dealt with their own battles that have drawn them closer to God. The music video for “Shoulders” shows people going through some of life’s most challenging moments and how God gives us strength. In the music video, Jesus gives a little girl strength at the hospital as she sees her ill grandfather. He is with a father and his baby at the hospital when it’s clear there is uncertainty. Jesus pulls an unconscious man out of a fiery car accident. All of the people who Jesus saves and strengthens come to a church as a symbol of coming close to Jesus.
1. “Through All Of It” by Colton Dixon
The music video for “Through All Of It” opens up with men and women sharing the hardest moments of their life. A teen lost his father to suicide on his 12th birthday, a baby was born with cysts and given little hope, a young woman suffered from an eating disorder, a young woman was sold into sex trafficking at 12, a woman survived a horrific car accident even after being pronounced dead, a police officer was almost killed by the teens he was trying to help. This music video is powerful and shows how God was always with each one of these people and the renewed purpose they have living in Christ.

I'm a Christian writer and editor residing in northern Michigan and thoroughly enjoy Christian centered music, movies, TV shows and books. A favorite song is "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" by Hillsong United and I find many songs by Matt Maher, Tim Timmons, Third Day, Laura Story, Jeremy Camp and numerous other artists uplifting. A few of my favorite Christian movies include God's Not Dead, The Shunning, Do You Believe and many by the Kendrick brothers. When I'm not writing, I enjoy running, experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with my musically gifted husband and spunky daughter. I am so blessed and in awe of the work God is doing throughout the Christian entertainment industry
