'Take My Hand Precious Lord' From The Singing Contractors

The two talented men of The Singing Contractors lead us in the worship with the classic hymn ‘Take My Hand, Precious Lord.’

The lyrics to this iconic song were written by Rev. Thomas A. Dorsey in response to the death of his wife and infant son. Since that time, many artists have lent their voices to this powerful tune.

“Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I am tired, I'm weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord
Lead me home”

Today, The Singing Contractors stop their painting job to give praise to the Lord with this hymn. Contractors Aaron Gray and Josh Arnett became overnight sensations back in 2015 when they posted a video of themselves singing ‘How Great Thou Art’ (https://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=YLWYWWNX) on a job site.

Since that time, they’ve accumulated millions of views online and continue to spread God’s message through music. ‘Take My Hand, Precious Lord’ is the perfect song to compliment their unique vocals. And the acoustics of the house truly make this a sound like no other.

These men are currently signed to Gaither Music, but they still like to take it back to where it all began by singing on the construction site. It’s such a refreshing take on this special hymn.

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
