Dont be weary in doing well

Posted on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 10:10PM.

Galations 6:9 (Amplified version) And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. Most people I know when they hear this scripture, cringe. Especially if you are going through some trial or tribulation. You know the deal. You have done all you know to do . You have prayed, stood fast, and thank Him for what He is going to do, but it still seems the promise eludes you or the trial presses on. You get frustrated and tired of the waiting. You feel the urgency and still no release. You complain and ask how much longer or at least I do. We are human. Patience and endurance are traits that are not to common today. People today want "microwave faith". They want their promises yesterday instead of waiting on God's timing. In my own life, God gave me a promise 20 years ago. Some of it has came to pass, and some is still in the making. In the processing of waiting on God, I have gotten frustrated and in the flesh and tried to bring it to pass in my own time. The result being, falling flat of my face and being in a worse situation than I was in to begin with. There is a big difference in doing it your way and God's way. Every time I want to do it my way He gives me this scripture. Doing right is doing and believing what His word says it will do. Habakkuk 2:3 says "For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end (fulfillment);it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait (earnestly) for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day." We have to have patience. Hebrews 10:36 states "For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away (and enjoy to the Full) what is promised.." In other words keep on keeping on and believing in the promise given to you. You may have to endures things like a good solider of the cross but in the end you will receive your promise. Our timing is not His timing. Joseph had a vision of ruling over his brothers. His vision did not come to pass until he endured several hardships over a several year time span. His vision did not come to past until God's timing and he was in the position God wanted him in to use him. Abraham waited for Isaac for several years. He even tried to bring his own vision to past with Ishmael. He and Sarah were well past child bearing age when God gave him his promise. He first had to be in God's timing and be in position where God could receive all the glory and not man. Maybe with your own promise God is moving you into position. Just maybe you may think He has forgotten but He hasn't.. His timing is perfect and His positioning of you is where He can receive all the honor and glory due His Name. When He gives you a promise, its like being pregnant in the spirit. It will tarry a while and it might even cause pain as it comes forth. But in the end the joy that you receive when it is birthed overshadows the waiting and the pain to get it here. So these are my words of encouragement don't get tired of doing what is right and believing. Just set your mind and heart on what the Lord has told you. Keep hoping and believing for you shall reap your promise if you don't give up. Father, I ask today that whoever reads these words that you will renew their hope and renew their strength.. Help them to stand firm in their faith. Let them not get tired of doing what is right but remind them of the Promise to come. Let it be done that you receive all the honor and glory. In Jesus Name I pray. May you be blessed today and love you guys. Kristie
